Because I didn't know about the baking challenge until yesterday, it didn't get included in my weekly grocery trip. I refuse, right here and now, to break my grocery budget for any challenge--so I had to work with what I had on hand.
A few days ago I spied a lovely brownie recipe over at Sugarcrafter - Irish Cream Brownies. I wanted to make them instantly, but I knew I was out of baking chocolate, thanks to my Christmas cookie spree.
I did, however, receive this for Christmas from my brother-in-law's girlfriend--a solid dark chocolate version of Han Solo frozen in carbonite. Yes, we're geeks. Proud of it!
And while I don't have a proper Irish Cream--my last bottle all went to hot chocolate toddies--I do have a mint-chocolate-flavored version.
Thus, Han Solo Mint Chocolate Brownies. Wave goodbye to Han's upper body drowning in butter!
And say hello to deliciousness!
I think Han would be happy to know that he was sacrificed for brownies. :)
